Housey roommate cleaning schedule
Swift, SwiftUI, StoreKit
Housey is an iOS app for people who share a kitchen and a bathroom and keep losing the argument about who cleaned. it is on the App Store as Housey: Roommate Cleaning. i built it. Swift, SwiftUI, StoreKit. iOS 16 and up.
the host sets up the house once: the shared spaces (kitchen, bathroom, whatever you actually fight about) and a cleaning cycle. roommates join with one invite code. anyone can claim a day. they work through a per-room checklist while they clean. the day ends as completed, partial, or missed. half a job is recorded as half a job.
What the house can see
the shared calendar is the product. blue claimed, yellow partial, green completed, red missed. a roommate list shows who is in the house and who cleans next, with per-person history. notifications fire when a day is claimed or finished.
chat sits next to the schedule so "who is taking Thursday" is not a group-thread that dies. claims can post themselves into that chat. the house also keeps the boring facts in one place: rules, address, Wi-Fi password.
1.0.1 caches household cleaning stats on the device so the roommates tab opens on the latest numbers and refreshes in the background.
What it is not
it is not a bill splitter, a grocery list, or a points game. it does not nag. the record is visible, and that is the whole mechanism.
pricing matches that shape. the person who creates the house subscribes ($2.99 a month, or $23.90 a year). everyone they invite joins that house free. one house, one payment, however many roommates. 14-day trial on the site.
